Pond Walk

This colored pencil drawing titled “Pond Walk” was my first landscape drawing in college. Sitting by the pond at my school, I felt an overwhelming sense of peace as I worked on it. The view in front of me was beautiful—calm waters reflecting the soft blues of the sky, lush greenery surrounding the edges, and a quiet stillness that made me pause and appreciate the moment. I tried to capture not just the scene, but the serenity I felt in that place. It was a moment of gratitude and reminder of the beauty in life and the joy of simply being present. This drawing is a memory of peace and reflection of a place that made me feel truly at ease.

The beginning sketch process! Wow do I love the therapy of sitting at a pond and drawing.
